I officially fell under the 300 pound mark in June. I can't explain in words how emotional that was for me. I sat on the couch and cried and cried. Thankfully the boys were sleeping, so I had time to just cry and let it all sink in. I didn't hit this goal before the end of the Reinvent Challenge ended though. I am okay with that, but I really wanted to hit that goal during the challenge.
The challenge went well. In no way shape or form do I believe that I will win, because just seeing some of the transformations on my own team I am blown away. I look forward to seeing who the winners are at the challenge party next week. Fingers crossed that someone on my team wins!
I have been off from work this past week because I am starting my new job Monday. I am super excited about this, but need to figure out what my hours will be so I can make gym plans. I am still loving Vent and plan on staying there for as long as I am challenged (which I do believe will be forever). Focus Master no longer is offered at Vent, but it has been replaced with Strike. I really enjoy it and it actually pushes me harder and further than Focus Master did. I am still working with my personal trainer who I love!!!! We started a new challenge at Vent that challenges us to improve our run time. My first time was 4 minutes and 23 seconds for one lap around the gym (.3 miles). My second attempt was 4 minutes and 2 seconds. So I am improving. I would LOVE to see it go down to 3.5 minutes. We shall see.
Another big step for me was the fact that I was able to climb to the top of Hunter Mountain. This is such a big accomplishment for me, because two years ago I attempted it and could not even get close to the top... I probably only made it 1/8 of the way honestly. But in June, I reached the top! It was the HARDEST thing I have EVER done in my LIFE. I cried on three different occasions and it took a total of 8 hours round trip. We stopped on the top for an hour or so. It was intense.
Right now I am signed up for a 5K in Albany called Albany Raid. It includes obstacles that I will probably not be able to complete; but I am dang sure going to try! I also have a 5K to do in October in Niagara Falls. I need to raise $500 for that one! If anyone would like to donate please follow the link: https://www.fundraise.com/remember-betty/tracy-canaday
The only negative things that have happened as far as this journey is that I am losing my hair to some degree. The doctor has me taking a vitamin to hopefully offset the hair loss.... She said it could actually be caused from stress (me leaving my job). So now that the job situation is all where it should be, I am hoping my thick hair will return :)
Thank you all for following my journey. I believe 100% that my success has been in part due to the fact that I am a complete open book now. The good, the bad and the ugly. It has helped so much to share my journey.
Thank you all!
